Up Goer Five holds you to the ten hundred words everyone uses most. Singular holds you to the words in one person's Twitter archive — Will Bickford's, 2008–2025.
The modes just choose which words count. Read flags against the words from what he read — retweets and favorites (36,675 words). Write flags against the words from what he wrote — his own tweets (19,094 words). Read/Write flags against both lists together (41,302 words). Type or paste below; every word outside the chosen list is marked, live. Matching is strict — a changed form he never used is marked too — and case does not matter.
The page is also a map of CYOA, by holographic positioning: a word's place is not assigned from outside; it is read off the whole — every CYOA scroll that holds the word lends it that scroll's coordinate, and the word sits at the average of all its locations. Each location holds a piece of the word; the word's position holds all of its locations at once. A word in his archive but not in CYOA rests at 1.1.1/1.1.1/1.1.1, the home coordinate. A word in neither rests at 9.9.9/9.9.9/9.9.9, the far corner. A word outside the chosen list shows its coordinate and the nearest words inside the list, with distances.
The map holds 46,719 words: 15,942 placed from CYOA's scrolls (10,525 of them from his lists), and 30,777 of his list words rest at home. Everything — the lists and the map — is inlined in this page; it makes no requests of its own.
