Terms of Service

Effective 30 October 2026

These terms describe Phext Edit, the web editor for phext files at this site. Read them with the Privacy Policy, which says what happens to the information from sign-in.

The editor

Phext is plain text arranged in 11 dimensions. Phext Edit lets you read and edit the phext files this server hosts, from a browser. It is part of the open-source phext-lattice project.

Signing in

The files can be changed, so the editor asks you to sign in before you open them. You sign in with a Google account or a GitHub account. Sign-in is used to check who you are, so the server can tell whether your account may use the editor. Phext Edit does not read your mail, files, contacts, or repositories, and it does not post anything for you.

Files you edit

Text you save is written into the phext files on this server. Those files belong to the person who runs the server, and they are not tied to your account.

Advertising

Phext Edit does not show advertisements. It does not use your sign-in or your edits for advertising.
